Preface
In view of the two films, the "memories" in Japan and the "delicatessen" in France, it is quite interesting to compare the differences of ideas in animation between the two countries, as well as the expression of the object image. However, there is no comparison between the two. After all, the third is animation, and the other is real photography. There is also a slight difference in the subject matter. To compare the difference between the two, that is, the difference between Japan and France, I think it is quite difficult. So I looked for animations related to the subject matter of life and death to make a comparison, respectively, the "Paranoia agent" in Japan and the "The suicide shop" in France.
i
The tone of color and light
Maybe I don't see much, I find that in the use of light and shadow, compared to Japan, France likes to use positive light or reduce the brightness of the surrounding corner, and the color is not as bright as Japan.
In the color part, I think France has a higher saturation than Japan, but in animation. it seems that style is not as obvious as in the everyday use of color.
Imagine
Generally speaking, people's impression of France is nothing more than romantic, the city of Paris and so on, talking about Japan, we must talk about the world's popular animation culture and Miyazaki Hayao, and so on, to separate the difference between the two, We have to talk about the relationship between the two. I think both sides are attracted to each other, but they each retain their original characteristics. In Asia, Japan exports a large number of household appliances and medical supplies. In Europe, France might as well give in. With regard to romantic imagination, the two countries also have different views. France is more concerned with spiritual understanding, just like the bridge between the two couples in a suicide shop. In Japan, it means a little bit of protection. I think France is more ideologically positive about the imagination of objects, but this front is not unclear, so it's not worrying, it's more like seeing through the world, so enjoy the joy of every day.
